Beauty in the cold

image

This is the scene from inside my car this morning. Perfect ice crystals formed on all of my windows. I guess at 19 degrees the moisture in the air has to do something so it decided to collect on my windows (surprisingly enough my doors weren’t frozen).
I’ll tolerate mild cold but I’m not a big fan of super cold so these last few days have been nowhere near fun for me. My hat is off to people who live in the Midwest and Northeast. I don’t know how you do it in the winters. Anyway I hope you enjoy the nature I’ve captured on my car.

Fall

There are some things about being in the South that are truly amazing. One such thing would be fall, with the explosion of colors and the way the leaves fall and settle on the ground (or in the case of where I live dirt roads). I hope you all enjoy these pictures.

Spring in all its spider webbed glory

For the record…..I detest spider webs. My dislike of the silky strings is akin to most women’s reaction to the creators of the strings that fly into people’s eyes, face, hair, hand or mouth unaware. I do however like waking up on a bright spring morning and catching glimpse of webs covered in dew or blades of grass woven together with fine silk threads or my absolute favorite a pine tree with webs in its boughs. That to me is part of the beauty of spring.
(It also helps to know where the webs are so I don’t get caught in one and start looking totally foolish as I beat myself silly trying to make sure its all off of me)

Here’s to spring in all its spider web covered glory!
